Detroit. MI – As coworkers pushed back against his request for a ride to the airport, Sal Rainier quickly reminded everyone that after he had brought donuts to work last week, they owed him “a serious favor.” When coworkers tried to explain that picking up donuts from Kroger isn’t nearly as significant as driving someone to the airport at 6:00 a.m., Rainier pushed back.
“It’s not about where the donuts came from, or even whether or not I bought them the previous night right before they were about to throw them out,” said Rainier. “For one brief moment last week, all of you were able to experience one true moment of happiness at work.
“Also, my flight’s on Saturday. Appreciate it.”
