Man Feels Like Kind Of An Idiot After Saying “Thank You” To Amazon Alexa

Riverside, CA – Copywriter Mike Malone silently questioned his own intelligence after he thanked his Amazon Alexa for reminding him about his mother’s upcoming birthday. Malone, a remote worker that only communicates with his coworkers via email and Jira, has grown more attached to the smart speaker as the only conversation he may have for days on end. However, he has grown concerned that the relationship may have grown weird.

“At first I just used Alexa for basic stuff, like asking the temperature outside,” explained Malone. “But then one day I asked Alexa to tell me a joke, and she’s just killing it. Next thing you know, I’m spending more time talking to Alexa than my family, and I realized that my best friend is a speaker.”
