Job Description Describing Ideal Candidate As “Mini-CEO” Offers Pay Equivalent To “Minimum Wage”

San Francisco, CA – Tech startup Amobee raised eyebrows with a job posting looking a “proven leader” with seven to ten years experience “in short-term and long-term business planning” that would “act as the CEO’s right-hand for all critical functions” failed to disclose that its annual salary would “fail to provide a living wage” unless candidates are open to “seven to ten roommates in a studio apartment.” The posting, which sources confirm isn’t a joke, also says that the right candidate would be paid in exposure and experience, apparently unaware that neither of those are a currency that the nearby Whole Foods accepts.
